With access to potable water and safe drinking water becoming a global challenge, especially in emerging economies, the problem of unsafe water was an issue that required immediate attention. Added to this is the rampant degradation of the environment owing to proliferation of single-use plastics that have littered our land and oceans.

From this compelling need was born BookWater’s CONNECTED CAN.

BookWater is the world’s first IoT-powered, sustainable and quality-based water delivery platform delivering safe and affordable water to all.

Bharath is a technopreneur with over two decades of product development experience. An Embedded product & IoT veteran, who is a pioneer in turnkey development of telephony systems, automated test equipment, automotive cockpit solutions & smart home products. Bharath has built companies that develop products from the chip to the cloud.

Before founding bookwater, Bharath has built and managed large teams delivering innovative solutions across multiple geographies including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Japan, Korea, and India.

Bharath drives Technology, Customer Experience, Finance and Operations at Bookwater.

Balachander Govindaraghavan
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Bala is a serial entrepreneur, Innovator and TEDx speaker, with over 24 years of international and multi-cultural experience spanning manufacturing, R&D and consulting environments. He possesses extensive experience in working closely with diverse Industries, non-governmental organizations and governmental bodies. Prior to starting his entrepreneurial journey has he has played pivotal roles in multinational corporations across verticals.

The companies that Bala founded offer energy and sustainability solutions to clients from 18 countries including global MNCs & Fortune 500 companies.

Bala heads R&D, Innovation, HR and Sales at bookwater.

CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Sameer comes with an experience of over eighteen years in the space of strategic brand management, Product management and corporate strategy and Advertising. Starting off his career as a sales trainee at Hindustan Lever, his corporate stints include working with companies like Ogilvy and Mather, Nutrine and the Mahindras. He played an instrumental role in setting up the “ZEST” product vertical at Mahindra Holidays. He has worked on brands like Hidesign, Cavinkare’s range of personal care and food brands. He was also director on board of APAS water solutions for ten years – A leading water and waste water management company based in Chennai.

Co-Founder

Hari is a Technology and Product Leader, with over 18 years of experience in Software and Product Development in all aspects of Product lifecycle; excavating market problems, driving product requirements through rapid prototyping, defining MVP and customer feedback, implementing new products and features using Agile, developing GTM strategies and launch plans with marketing and Sales. Measures Product success through Analytics and KPIs.

Hari drives the strategy at bookwater.

CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER

Vishakha is an Electronics Graduate and a postgraduate in Management. She has more than two decades of experience designing, implementing, and consulting on Customer Interaction Management solutions for customers in India and globally.

At BookWater Vishakha heads the Customer Experience portfolio bringing her experience to design and enhance Customer Experience across all customer touchpoints. She has been instrumental in aligning Customer Service with the company’s values of ‘Customer’s health and safety first’.

Vishakha’s other interests include studying and speaking on self-betterment

Padma Bhushan Mr. S Nambi Narayanan
Brand Ambassador & Scientific Advisor

An Indian aerospace scientist who worked with ISRO, Mr Nambi is an accomplished scientist with 35 years of experience in the management of Liquid Propulsion Systems and Launch Vehicles. Project Director who led the realization of the second and fourth liquid stages of PSLV and was also instrumental in developing the Vikas rocket engine. He received India’s third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan in March 2019. BookWater is honoured to have him as the brand ambassador and scientific advisor.

Mr. Ranganath NK
Former Managing Director, Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd

MD of Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd. since its inception in 1988, Mr Ranganath NK completed Business Management from XLRI & Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy. He has been the Past President of the Madras Management Association (MMA), past Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Council of CII and past Chairman of AEEE (Alliance for an Energy-Efficient Economy). He is an Independent Director on many listed and non-listed companies and is part of the advisory boards of a few NGOs.

Mr. Arun Kumar Nanda
Former Chairman Mahindra and Mahindra Resorts

Joining the Mahindra Group in Calcutta in 1973 as a young accountant, Mr Nanda had an illustrious career with the company. Working his way up, he was inducted to the Board of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) in August 1992 and stepped out as Executive Director in March 2010. He retained his position as a Non-Executive Director till August 2014. Mr Nanda was also the Chairman of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts (I) Ltd. and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.

Mr Nanda was honoured with the “Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur” (Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour) by the President of the French Republic, Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy in 2008.

An HR leader with 42 years of a professional career in large organisations, Mr Srikanth is equipped with multi-sector, multi-regional experiences in strategic & operational roles. His experience also encompasses Organisational build up ( organic growth, through M&A, Joint Ventures and new Technology start-ups), Talent acquisition and retention (Global & Indian), Talent Management and Leadership development, Business-driven change management and capability enhancement, HR Processes & policy deployment, Governance and Compliance.
